What up to all the Grefandas out there!!! I’m guessing that no one will actually read this, but I wanted to give the universe an update on the Gremanda Wedding, also known as the Gravel-Verdino Wedding.

Most of the big wedding planning boxes have been checked, and we’re at the point where we are finalizing (and agonizing over) details. There’s still a lot of work to do, but we’re in good shape. I think. I can’t believe the wedding is less than six months away though. It’s going to be here so soon, ah!

But let me just say that planning a wedding is extremely challenging. It’s ridiculous, really. There have been days when I wanted to just elope and forget this whole thing, and days when I struggled to keep my cool. There have even been days when I considered firing some of my vendors, to be honest. But in the end, I know I have to trust that everyone involved wants our wedding to be great, and that it will be great.

So here are a few more people we’re working with to make the big day meaningful, beautiful and unique.

OFFICIANT: Gary D. Fine, Boston, MA

We met Gary completely by chance in the fall. We had gone up to Boston to walk through the Liberty and make sure it was “the venue,” and noticed there was a wedding happening while we were there. Since I can’t help being a creep, I was snooping around like crazy. After the ceremony ended and all the guests headed upstairs for their cocktail reception, I peeked into the ballroom to get a sense of what a real wedding would look like inside. Gary struck up a conversation with me and Greg and we hit it off right away. Gary is approachable, articulate and direct. I know our wedding ceremony is in good hands with Gary officiating.

FURNITURE: Taylor Creative NYC, New York, NY

To get the sleek yet romantic modern look we’re going for with the wedding, we are working with Taylor Creative to set the stage. I recently visited their showroom, which is a goldmine of unique furniture rentals. I would highly recommend working with these guys – they’ve been responsive and friendly throughout the whole process, plus their rentals are fabulous. And they are able to deliver to Boston! I’m so excited to see everything set up on the day.

MAKEUP & HAIR: Sara Faella, Artist Designer Stylist, Westerly, RI

Sara is cute as a button! She and her Glam Squad will be making sure my VIP ladies and I are looking gorgeous on the wedding day. Sara has a really upbeat, energetic personality and I can’t wait for my hair and makeup trial consultation this summer. Obviously we are going for jaw-dropping, and I think Sara is the gal to make it happen.

Oh, and we have our engagement photo session in a few weeks so I’ll have to update everyone on that too.
